In these terms, “MK Psychology Toybox”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the owner and operator of this website. “You” refers to the website user or customer.
1. About Our Shop
MK Psychology Toybox offers a curated range of toys, sensory resources, educational materials, activity books and therapeutic tools for children, parents, caregivers, teachers and therapists.
Products are selected to encourage play, learning, emotional development, creativity and connection. The information provided on this website is for general educational and shopping purposes only.
Products sold through MK Psychology Toybox are not intended to replace professional psychological, medical, occupational therapy or educational assessment, diagnosis, treatment or advice.
2. Product Information and Suitability
We take reasonable care to provide accurate product descriptions, photographs, age guidelines and prices. However, minor variations in packaging, colours, design or appearance may occur.
Parents, caregivers, teachers and therapists remain responsible for selecting products that are appropriate for a child’s age, developmental level and individual needs.
Some products may contain small parts or require adult supervision. Please check the product description, packaging and safety information before use. Children should use products under appropriate adult supervision.
3. Orders and Availability
All products are subject to availability.
Adding an item to your shopping cart does not reserve the product. An order is only confirmed once payment has been received successfully and an order confirmation has been issued.
If a product becomes unavailable after you have placed an order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible. You may choose an available alternative product, receive a store credit or receive a refund for the unavailable item.
We reserve the right to cancel an order where there has been an obvious pricing error, a stock error, suspected fraudulent activity or a technical issue affecting the transaction. Where payment has already been received, the applicable amount will be refunded.
4. Prices and Payment
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR).
Delivery fees are charged separately and are displayed or communicated before your order is dispatched.
Payment may be made using the payment methods available during online checkout. By submitting an order, you confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method and that sufficient funds are available to complete the purchase.
Online payments are processed securely through Payfast. MK Psychology Toybox does not store your credit-card details on its website.
5. Delivery and Collection
The following options are available:
- Courier delivery through The Courier Guy: R125 to most areas in South Africa.
- PUDO locker delivery: R70 to a selected locker.
- Collection by prior arrangement in Tamboerskloof, Cape Town.
Orders are dispatched once a week.
Courier delivery times may vary depending on the destination and courier availability. We cannot guarantee a specific delivery date after an order has been handed to the courier.
Additional courier charges may apply to remote or special delivery areas. Where an additional charge is required, we will contact you before dispatching your order. You may accept the additional charge or cancel the order for a refund.
Please ensure that your delivery address, locker selection and contact details are correct when placing your order. Additional costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete delivery information may be charged to the customer.
6. Order Cancellations
You may request the cancellation of an order before it has been dispatched by contacting us at accounts@mkpsychology.co.za.
If your order has not yet been dispatched, the cancelled order will be refunded in full.
If the order has already been dispatched, the cancellation will be handled as a return in accordance with our Refund, Cancellation and Returns Policy.
7. Returns, Refunds and Defective Products
Our Refund, Cancellation and Returns Policy forms part of these terms and conditions.
Where applicable under South African law, a customer who purchases goods online may cancel an eligible transaction within seven days after receiving the goods. The customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning goods in a change-of-mind return.
To qualify for a change-of-mind return, the product should be unused, undamaged and returned with its original packaging, accessories and components.
Please contact us before returning an item. Items should not be returned without prior arrangement.
Where a product is defective, unsafe, damaged or not of an acceptable quality, the matter will be handled in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act. Statutory consumer rights are not limited by these terms.
8. Damaged, Incorrect or Missing Items
Please inspect your order after delivery.
If an item is damaged during delivery, an incorrect item has been sent or part of your order is missing, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at accounts@mkpsychology.co.za.
Please include your order number, a brief description of the issue and photographs where applicable. We will review the matter and arrange an appropriate resolution.
9. Personal Information and Privacy
MK Psychology Toybox respects your privacy and processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
We may collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to process and fulfil your order, such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing address and delivery address.
We may share the minimum information required with service providers involved in completing your transaction, including Payfast and the selected courier or delivery service.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
Order-related emails may be sent to keep you informed about your purchase and delivery. Marketing communication will only be sent where permitted, and you may unsubscribe from marketing communication at any time.
10. Payment Security
Payments made through this website are processed using Payfast’s secure payment services.
MK Psychology Toybox does not store credit-card information on its website. Payment information is handled through the secure payment environment provided by the payment service provider.

We will not be held responsible for a delay or inability to fulfil an order where this results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including courier delays, transport disruptions, supplier delays, stock shortages, load shedding, natural events or other unforeseen circumstances.
Where an order cannot be fulfilled, we will contact you and arrange an appropriate alternative or refund.

We may update these terms and conditions from time to time. The updated version will be published on this website and will apply from the date of publication.
16. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
